Fuelin' Around: Still in NM

Mostly driving today, going from the NW to SE part of the state, almost 500 miles through more nothingness. We did stop in Roswell, which was full of UFO stuff and crapatoriums selling cheesy goods, some of which we bought. There was a UFO museum there which was actually very interesting; unfortunately, we got there ten minutes before closing and had to just get an overview. We made it to Carlsbad, and hurried to the caverns to see the exodus of thousands(?) of bats at sunset. We really had to hustle to make it there by sunset, but got a good show. We're at a campground right next to the caverns, so in the AM we go underground, and then continue on to TX.
